Don't believe the hype. 2011 was only a challenging vintage in specific areas. Margaret River has been blessed with great vintages...2011 was certainly another to add to the pile. Cabernet and Cabernet based blends just rock in Margaret River.
Red fruit Merlot (20%) child dances in and out of black fruit Cabernet's (80%) adult legs. Raspberry to black cherry. Plum skins to a distinct green pea herby note, all the while topped with subtle tobacco spice.
Black and red fruit full but meshed together with food friendly tannin. There's good maturity to the wine making of this blend, which maintains approachability. Appropriate barrel work gives an appropriate reassuring oak cuddle. Open 'er up and drink 'er down.
